Stampede Roundup: Rodeo season returns to the Hat

Get out your boots and cowboy hat, rodeo season has returned!

The 2024 Broncs & Honky Tonks Pro Indoor Spring Rodeo will take over the Cypress Centre Fieldhouse for three days of dirt-flyin’ action, April 19-21.

Kesler Championship Rodeo Stock will again be bringing in the rankest horses and bulls they’ve got to take on some of the top cowboy talent this world has to offer in bull riding, saddle bronc, bareback, steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing and boys steer riding.

New to this year’s event is our VIP Patio. Located on our upper-level seating on the south end of the Fieldhouse, six four-seater tables are available with bar service, nachos for the table and a great view of the action on a private patio area for your party. Tables include four rodeo tickets for $200 per night, or $550 for all three shows. There are only a few tables left, so give me a call at 403-977-1911 if you’re interested.

The weekend kicks off on the Friday with Military Night, so come sporting red to show your support for Canada’s Armed Forces.

Saturday features our annual Princess for a Day, where a pair of lucky winners will be treated to a special day with Stampede Queen Emma Atkinson and Princes Caitlyn O’Connor.

Friday and Saturday evening’s rodeos will also be followed by the fan-favourite Down In The Dirt Dance, where we open up the arena and dance the night away with music from DJ Kim Bohnet – so grab a partner and get ready to kick up some dirt.

The action gets underway at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, then at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
