Father and son breakers make history

The family that breaks together can sometimes make history together.

Aaron and Asher Melanson competed earlier this month at Old to the New in Calgary. The event had both a junior competition and an open one. The Melansons captured the title in both, making them the first father and son team to win the battles at the same competition.

Aaron, aka Bboy APlus, and Floor Convicts Crew member Rhylan Cabalu (Bboy Rhythm) won the 2 vs 2 open age division. Asher (Bboy Smashone) and Tago Starr won the junior division.

The history-making duo will perform at Gx Dance Studio’s year-end party May 4-5.
