The launch of Police Point Park Nature Centre’s winter storywalk — “Froggy Gets Dressed,” by Jonathan London — will take place Sunday, from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

The storywalk is being released in connection with Family Literacy Day. Medicine Hat Interpretive Program, Medicine Hat Public Library and Lifelong Education and Resource Network (LEARN) come together in support of outdoor learning opportunities and encouraging fun out-loud reading to reinforce literacy skills. Collaborative efforts between the local community partnerships encourage fun and engaging activities to strengthen relationships within the family.

Besides the storywalk, participants may enjoy snacks and crafting, provided by the library.Upon completion of the storywalk, participants may also receive a prize coupon that can be redeemed at the library. Coupons will be available only during regular business hours after Jan. 27.

The Nature Centre encourages people to “hop on down” to Police Point Park and enjoy a winter afternoon with a free family-friendly activity and meet Freddy the Frog through the storywalk. The storywalk will be available through March 10.
