Ten speakers to take part in Pecha Kucha Vol. 20 Friday

The 20th edition of the Medicine Hat Pecha Kucha night is happening Friday at the Eresman Theatre at Medicine Hat College.

If you’re looking for something interesting, community building, and inexpensive, come to the college theatre to hear 10 speakers, each talking about something he or she is passionate about.

This edition will be put on in conjunction with the International Students Week at the college, so the theme of the night is “International.”

The first speaker hits the stage at 8:20 p.m., and the event is free, although a $5 donation is suggested. There will be a cash bar.

The lineup:

1. Shalla Shaharyar — Strengthening our Community through Diversity and Inclusion

2. Dawn Olson — A Sense Holiday in Wales

3. Dan Frost — Human Resources! Amazing things can happen when you think outside the box!

4. Jocelyne Bouvier — Incredible India

5. Tami Ellis —Thumbin’ it to Grace: Lessons from the Open Road

6. Carla Thorogood — A Red Motorcycle Reborn: A Journey

7. Alison Vis – Bringing Home Brave: Our Ukrainian Special Needs Adoption

9. Yusuf Mohammed — Integrating Locals to International People

10. René Grigat — Canada vs. Germany
