Downtown BMO brand board on the move

Visitors to the downtown branch of the Bank of Montreal may have noticed the cattle brand board that has been there for close to 60 years is missing.

Don’t worry, it hasn’t been stolen. It’s just been given on official loan to Medicine Hat’s Cypress Club.

The custom-made display piece, featuring 172 different area cattle brands and the names of their owners, will hang in the Cypress Club’s poker room. Many local ranchers have and continue to frequent the room.

Cypress Club president Ken Montgomery and bank branch manager Ann Renee Lasante participated in an official ceremony to mark the loan on June 19.
