Wingapalooza coming to the Canalta Centre

Medicine Hat News Wings are kings and the Canalta Centre wants to crown a Lord of the Wing this summer. Officials from the Canalta Centre announced Wingapalooza this week, a chance for local restaurants and chefs to showcase their wing preparation and styles and compete for best wing and flavour in Medicine Hat. The event takes place June 15 from 6-10 p.m. “We are thrilled to introduce Wingapalooza, a unique event that brings together a few of Canada’s favorite things — wings, beer, and live music,” said Kelli Ireland, director of marketing and sales. “Our goal was to create an annual celebration that showcases some of Medicine Hat’s best restaurants and chefs. I am certain this will be one of my favorite events that the Canalta Centre team has self-produced.” Awards up for grabs on the evening include People’s Choice, Judge’s Choice and best overall wing — the “Lord of the Wings.” The restaurant/chef that wins the “Lord of The Wings” title will have the winning creation featured at the Canalta Centre.
