Family Literacy Day celebrated Saturday at Police Point Park with StoryWalk

Medicine Hat News To celebrate Family Literacy Day, a new StoryWalk will be held at Police Point Park Saturday, running from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Special guests will be on hand, and offered will be a variety of activities, snacks and prizes. The party is sponsored by the Medicine Hat Public Library, L.E.A.R.N. and hosted by the Interpretive Program. The new StoryWalk features “Bear Snores On” by Karma Wilson, illustrated by Jane Chapman. The storyboards will be placed along a trail, so you can read a story while you go for a short walk in the park. StoryWalks have proven in the past to be popular and are great for all ages.
