Four Medicine Hat women were recent recipients of $1,000 scholarships from the Florence E. Taylor Charitable Foundation. The young women were nominated by Chapter J, P.E.O. Sisterhood of Medicine Hat.

The recipients this year were Alyssa Hellman, Hailey Hill, Kamille Sverta and Natalie Van Wert.

In a news release, the Sisterhood said its objective is to “promote educational opportunities for women.”

Hellman is attending Medicine Hat College working toward a bachelor of Science degree.

Hill is pursuing a Science degree at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton.
