Power engineers golf event supports mental health at Medicine Hat College

Alberta Institute of Power Engineers held a successful “Everybody Counts Golf Classic for Mental Health” Sept. 9 at Cottonwood on behalf of its student club at Medicine Hat College.

The money raised in the event went toward mental health initiatives on campus in areas of greatest need. According to a press release, the money will likely be used for special seminars on coping skills or for bringing in more resources to deal with an increase in need in some specific area of campus mental health.

The event was for industry people, former grads and alumni and AIPE power engineers. It provided an opportunity to meet and network for a great cause, while having some fun at the same time.
