As the crisp autumn air settles in southeastern Alberta, Coop Place is gearing up for a strong slate of entertainment in October and November.

This fall specifically, really does have a diversity of events to enjoy.

During the next several weeks, Co-op Place will undergo several high scale venue conversions, overnight flips immediately following back-to-back hockey games, nearly 70,000 pounds of dirt via 65-plus tandem truckloads, renowned rock and country acts, and even award-winning comedy. Not to mention upscale dining, dancing and entertainment, all in the same venue.

Whether you’re a die-hard live entertainment enthusiast, or looking for a fun night out, this fall lineup of offerings at Co-op Place is as dynamic as the team that pulls it off behind the scenes.

With the diverse group of events over the next two months comes a series of challenges for all facets of the venue. However, we have the team in place to execute on all aspects of the event industry, to ensure a seamless, professional, inclusive and entertaining guest experience for not only our patrons, but the promoters, clients and artists that we welcome through our doors.

Co-op Place houses a team of operational staff who maintain what some consider, the best ice in the Dub (WHL). This team keeps our venue clean, safe and operational to the highest of industry standards. The tireless and repeat work of setup and take down has turned the team into a very efficient and skilled set of members.

Down the hall, working nearly every day behind the scenes, ensuring the highest quality is put forth, is the Food and Beverage team. This highly skilled culinary staff cover all bases of the F & B experience for guests who visit the venue. From the handcrafted beverages at the Caesar Bar, to the new and improved Game Day Feature offering, upscale dining, catering for artists and for every team in the Western Hockey League, these professionals touch all points of the guest experience.

So much of the work behind what you get to experience in our venue happens months and sometimes years in advance. Our booking, administration, technology and box office teams work early mornings, and late evenings, to handle all things ticketing, hospitality, lights, sound, video and more. So much of what we do is extremely specialized, and nuanced, and requires utmost attention.

Details matter, and that is what is setting us apart from comparable venues and cities. Touring acts, artists, and entertainment of all reaches of the world, want to showcase their talents in Medicine Hat.

Visit coopplace.ca for information on the facility and events.
