“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said.” – Matthew 28:6 These words echo through history and shake the very foundations of death. The angel’s announcement at the empty tomb wasn’t just a report-it was a revolution. Easter is not a myth or a metaphor. It’s a miracle-a moment that changed everything for eternity. Jesus said He would rise. And He did. He told His disciples, He warned His enemies, and He promised His followers. And when the women came to the tomb that morning, expecting to anoint a body, they were met with glory. The grave was empty. The King was alive. Easter means the cross was not a defeat-it was a doorway. Jesus bore our sin, our shame, our punishment. But the story didn’t end with the stone sealing His tomb. The stone was rolled away. Not so He could get out, but so we could see in-that death had been defeated! Matthew 28:6 reminds us: Jesus keeps His word. If He said He would rise, and did, then we can trust every other promise He made. That means forgiveness is real. New life is available. Heaven is home. And hope is alive. Easter invites us to move from mourning to dancing, from fear to faith. We don’t serve a dead Savior-we follow a risen King! The same power that raised Christ from the dead is available to us today. So let us not just celebrate the resurrection-let us live it. Let it shape how we love, how we forgive, how we trust. The tomb is empty. Jesus is alive. And because He is risen, just as He said, we have a reason to rejoice forever. He is risen indeed!
