Close-up on Co-op Place: Enhancement with passion for our guests’ experience

After joining the City of Medicine Hat as Food Service Manager, I have been committed to improving our food and beverage operations to enhance customer experience and efficiency. My role has allowed me to oversee and implement significant changes that have positively impacted our services and guests experience.

One of the key improvements introduced with the new management team was the addition of a pop-up station at the concourse. This initiative was aimed at increasing accessibility and reducing wait times for guests. The pop-up station provided a convenient option for customers to grab quick bites and refreshments without having to visit the main concession stands, ultimately improving service flow and customer satisfaction.

Another major enhancement was the introduction of Mr. Pretzels to our product lineup. Recognizing the demand for high-quality snack options, we partnered with Mr. Pretzels which is owned and operated by local supplier to offer freshly baked, delicious pretzels. This addition not only diversified our menu but also attracted a new customer base that appreciates premium snack offerings. Furthermore, by working with Mr. Pretzels and other local suppliers, we have been able to support businesses within our community, fostering strong partnerships and contributing to the local economy.

Beyond these specific improvements, I have also worked closely with our team to refine operational efficiency, enhance staff training, and ensure that we maintain the highest standards of food quality and service while maintain effective cost and waste protocols.

By focusing on customer feedback and market trends, we continue to evolve and adapt our food service offerings to meet the needs of our patrons.

My experience in this role has been both rewarding and challenging, and I take pride in the positive impact these enhancements have had on our operations and customer experience. I look forward to continuing working with the F&B team to innovate and elevate our food service program at Co-op Place.
