Over the past seven months, we’ve seen a fair share of traffic at Co-op Place, both indoors and outdoors. Since the beginning of March, we have welcomed nearly 50,000 guests into the venue.
We have hosted numerous concerts and family events; teamed up with charitable organizations and showcased world-class bull riding, motocross racing, junior hockey and more.
Our venue’s versatility has been demonstrated over the past few weeks with multiple overnight conversions; from Tigers hockey to concerts, from bull riding to motocross, then again back to hockey most recently. Our operations team works diligently to prepare the venue for all facets of sport and entertainment, and we couldn’t do it without them.
Another essential part of our team to help our events run seamlessly, is our volunteers. For any given event, we may require up to 30 volunteers. They are the first and last faces guests see, and our success is directly attributed to the dedication and hard work they provide.
Over the next month, we will host the legendary Tom Cochrane and his band in a rock concert that will also feature Canadian band Trooper. Later, we’ll set the stage for Cirque Musica Holiday Wonderland, a world-class circus experience infused with Holiday spirit for the whole family as well as continue to host the best junior hockey Western Canada has to offer. As we flip the calendar to 2024, we will welcome back the high-flying Harlem Globetrotters, who will once again provide guests with a mix of their world-famous basketball, big laughs and fan fun.
At Co-op Place, the City of Medicine Hat continues to play a crucial role in fostering a sense of community, quality of life and inclusion. We are always looking for new ways to engage audiences and ultimately provide the best-in-class guest experience at all our events.
We hope to see you at one soon.
