Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Oct.10, 2024

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on October 10, 2024.

Ticked Off

That the skatepark bathroom got locked for the season. Parents are still bringing their kids down to the park to be active and enjoy the nice weather. A shame that the first day it’s locked I see kids using the trees as a bathroom.

Tickled Pink

Our premier is the obvious adult in the room. I am grateful all you naysayers don’t hold power, our collective lives would be worse. You’ve not heard of chem trails before? LOL. You are out of focus with what is going on. Of course “they” deny it. (Editor’s note: OK, we’ve heard of them. We’ve also heard of flat earth, the Great Replacement, the chupacabra and Santa Claus. What exactly is your point here?)

Tickled Pink

The colours of the leaves this time of year are incredible, I love looking down from Crescent Heights and driving down First Street.

Ticked Off

At comment about “riding my bicycle on the sidewalks.” Side. WALK. Not for bicycles. Bicycles ride on the road, most right-hand position (or left depending on road configuration). (Editor’s note: Pretty sure you missed some sarcasm in the initial comment.)

Ticked Off

Some people go on condo boards because it makes them feel important. Alas, they are merely a beating pulse sitting at the head table.

Tickled Pink

If bicyclists would remember they are subject to the same rules and laws as motorized vehicles. Only those under 18 are allowed to ride on sidewalks, unless they are designated as a shared pathway. Refer to: lawnow.org/bicycle.

Ticked Off

That Canada has inherited a little Trumpeter batting his power-hungry lying chest. Yawn.

Ticked Off

That the average wage at city hall is $105.85/hr, according to the head of people services. I bet most people in the city aren’t making half of that.

Ticked Off

Poilievre is making $300,000 a year, lives in a 19 room mansion which includes a chef, chauffeur and a household administrator all paid for by the taxpayers. He earned his pension at age 31 which right now stands at $230,000 a year. Does he really understand about the issues of middle income Canadians?

Ticked Off

We deserve better in this city than these grossly uninformed NDP and Liberal supporters mocking chemtrails and weather manipulation. Please post your references, I guarantee they will all be from mockingbird media. When I watched actual video of NASA creating a cloud that dropped rain on a sunny day, and a highly respected doctor show how lasers could be used to create rain and even lightning, the facts were there for all to witness. (Editor’s note: When did Marjorie Taylor Greene move to the Hat?)

Tickled Pink

That the city is leaving its flower beds to bloom while this lovely fall weather persists. There’ll be a lot of work to do late in October but it’s sure nice to enjoy that bounty of colour through Thanksgiving. Thanks to the city!

Ticked Off

The province has decided to require an electronic tabulator ban for municipal elections and is requiring the municipalities to pay for vote counting. Meanwhile, the premier is still using a computer, probably paid for with provincial taxes.

Ticked Off

Are we absolutely sure that the person moderating these ticked off, tickled pinks doesn’t have a strong political bias? Because with the amount of liberal tears posted here it seems like this selection was hand picked in Nepal. Y’now (sic) the country to the Left of China. (Editor’s note: Nepal is more to the south of China. Maybe you’re thinking of Tajikistan.)
