Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Sept. 17, 2024

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on September 17, 2024.

Ticked Off

That there is no dollar stores in Crescent Heights. To the local managers of these stores, please, please, please get one going for us on the north side.

Tickled Pink

If any political party leader could tell Canadian taxpayers what building affordable homes is.

Ticked Off

At the person constantly complaining about their neighbours, you’re coming across as paranoid. Alarming.

Ticked Off

That Sobey’s took over Safeway in 2013 and has let the store in Crescent Heights sit empty and derelict for years. It was in walking distance for two neighbourhoods, including a large seniors complex. If oil companies are responsible for the reclamation of orphan wells, perhaps this commercial business needs to be held responsible so the property can be used again.

Ticked Off

So let me get this straight, at an intersection you want every vehicle going straight to be in the left lane, so the few who are turning right can have a clear path. Boy, talk about slowing traffic down. What a crazy idea. (Editor’s note: In fairness, the intersection most are currently discussing at Strachan and 13th Avenue has way more than a few vehicles turning right each light.)

Ticked Off

Citizens need to stop questioning the city manager and director of people services. They are experts and little old Medicine Hat is very lucky to have them. They could work anywhere but are doing this town a favour and choosing to work here.

Ticked Off

I moved here from Hamilton a couple of months ago and have read this column twice a week. I’m stunned by the absurdity of if. You’re a bunch of small town hicks. (Editor’s note: You’re stunned by the absurdity of anonymous comments? Did they not have the internet in Hamilton?)

Ticked Off

We may have a municipal expert running the city but their ability to read the room or lead are seriously lacking. How much longer will council allow this to continue?

Ticked Off

That someone can be charged with possession of a dangerous weapon for a BB gun. How ridiculous.

Tickled Pink

Thank you ever so much for starting the landscape cleanup on Gershaw. Neat, tidy and safe is a wonderful way to say ‘welcome to our city.’

Tickled Pink

It’s hilarious hearing what lengths some will go to have a lower score. Golfing is ultimately against yourself, if you need to make up ridiculous reasons not to count all your strokes, you’re really not fooling anyone.

Tickled Pink

To get back more from the carbon rebate than I spend on carbon tax. So, Mr. Poilievre, keep your hands off it. Anyone who is a moderate driver I am sure gains from this tax.

Ticked Off

I am so disappointed by the negative reaction to what I believe to be an innovative, creative and beautiful art installation at Police Point Park. Two photos had to be removed due to nudity. Imagine! Have none of you been to Europe where naked male and female bodies are on full display without shame or embarrassment? Honestly, grow up.

There is NO such thing as an expert. They may know a lot about a subject but no one can know everything about a particular subject.
An ‘Expert’ is a has been under pressure. A
