Tickled Pink Thank you to the city administration and councillors for giving out 30 complimentary rain barrels. You have redeemed yourself with this nice gesture, you shouldn’t have to provide any receipts or expenditure explanations. Tickled Pink That the mayor has been caught. All seven councillors can not be wrong. Ticked Off Feeding 250 a day, nice round number, possibly 80 to 90, I see them every morning. What this agency needs is some outside security to deal with the alcohol and drugs being consumed on their property, and an outside maintenance worker to litter pick the property and adjacent areas! Ticked Off The Mustard Seed would receive more donations if it could provide receipts for tax purposes in an efficient, timely manner. I am seriously considering if I will continue to donate after the difficulty I had in getting a tax receipt. Ticked Off There are many upstanding business owners here but for the most part the forgotten corner is unimpeachable. Tickled Pink We would be disappointed if the city books were opened, the amount of cobwebs and clutter would be shocking, especially when we saw the pittance corporations have paid for naming rights on the city-owned, taxpayer-built locations such as Big Marble Go Centre and Co-op Place. Tickled Pink If during hot months people would open their windows during night and close in early morning. Your electric bill wouldn’t be outrageous. It was 22C and neighbours had their air conditioning running all day. Ticked Off The “truckers” block the borders and occupy Ottawa for three weeks and the police do nothing. A few university students set up tents and don’t bother anyone and the police go in with batons and rubber bullets. Clearly the police choose who they enforce the laws against and whom they don’t. Ticked Off Yes, prices are going up. Last time I bought small foam paint brushes they were selling for $1.29 each. This time I bought the same ones and they’re selling for $1.99. When things go up by a few cents, OK, but up 70 cents, that’s not acceptable. Companies are gouging us. To make a blanket statement that includes city council, business owners, lawyers and doctors? Pretty easy to do without providing any such proof, or having to sign your name to such a statement. Using airport codes to describe cities has been around since social media sites like Twitter took off, as a way to shorten the characters used.
