Local MLA Justin Wright is a complete hypocrite for trying to present the UCP attack on trans-youth as a positive act with some sort of redeeming “family value.” Smith is even worse, using the word “love” as she shoves her knife into their backs. With our health-care system in a day-to-day crisis, the UCP wastes time and money with these ridiculous laws. You cannot legislate human sexuality, you have to accept people as they are. I am so tired of the foolish misguided demands of the base that supports Smith and the UCP, enough already.

Massive harm coming to transgender kids in line for hormone therapy who now find it won’t be there for them. I know families awaiting this support. They are devastated. UCP sinking into ignorance swamp, again. What can we SANE people do?

There are UnCaring People in the Alberta government who are making the implementation of $10/day daycare difficult. There is Utter Chaos Pending if healthcare is not properly funded. The Unnecessary Change Policy is threatening to remove our CCP and RCMP. The Upper Crust Preference has corporations in Alberta paying too little tax. You can see what UCP stands for.

If we could get rid of our premier immediately! The latest UCP mess that has been created re: trans kids and parents, is unbelievable. Parents do not need government meddling in their child’s welfare. Government never should get involved in parental decisions. Instead of dealing with our current health care issues, of which there are so many; every other day Smith comes up with another stupid idea, pushing the other health care issues under the rug. How in the heck did this UCP get elected and how did the premier get elected? Premier is an embarrassment to this province and the whole country.

Can’t believe we got to a point where we need provincial legislation to get back our parent rights to our kids. Get back to teaching basic education, please.

It’s funny how conservative politicians often speak about government being small and not interfering in people’s lives, right until they think they can get a few more redneck votes by going after trans kids or the homeless, then there’s no end to the legislation. They help no one, but attack anyone who might rile up their basic base. This is who you want to vote for?

Danielle Smith is right in bringing in policies surrounding transgender youth. I think it’s very positive and parents should be included in all situations involving their children. Yes, there are situations that parents may find hard to accept but we have a social services programs to help with this. NDP, why don’t you work with the UCP instead of fighting everything?

When your dog just barks once to let you know someone is walking on the trails, not like some who just don’t stop barking. The former being well trained, the latter needing a lot of discipline.

That Mr. Motz continues to double down on the “Freedom Convoy.” It lasted about 30 days. If I parked an idling diesel pickup in front of his house with signs saying, “I also support Donald Duck,” honking the horn once an hour, I would be gone in less than 30 hours. If I prevented deliveries like medications, food or business packages? Gone in less than three hours. If I took a dump in his backyard while using his power to charge my phone – gone in less than thirty minutes. The citizens of Ottawa deserved better, we deserve better, Canadian taxpayers deserve better.

In my nine decades on this planet I have never encountered a bigger liar than this prime minister. He pretends he wants to find solutions to problems, but fails to state that the problems were his doing in the first place.

When I was younger, my dad would try to impart some wisdom and knowledge to me. He would get frustrated when I ignored him and mention that it was “like talking to a wall.” That’s what it feels like with Danielle Smith, it’s like talking to a wall.

I keep my landline phone because of all the scam calls I receive. It is the only time I can curse guilt free. So keep the calls coming, scammers. I love cursing at you. It is definitely worth $25 a month.

I heard constant complaints about Liberals. Years ago there was an FST brought in by Conservatives. Most don’t know it existed even. It was supposed to be temporary measures. Personal income tax was also brought in by conservatives as a temporary measure. After years the conservatives transitioned FST into GST, originally they wanted 9% but decided on 7% at the time. GST was lowered to 5% by the Liberals. (Editor’s note: Not to split hairs because you’re mostly right, but Chretien’s Liberals campaigned in opposition to the GST, then kept it anyway, and its most current lowered rate of 5% was implemented by Harper.)
