Tickled Pink

Kudos to the young skateboarders who have helped young women purchase feminine hygiene supplies! I recently bought hygiene supplies for the Women’s Shelter and was alarmed at the prices. Tampax and pads should be free. Let’s hope some other groups take up the challenge and lobby for changes.

Tickled Pink

Thank you Medicine Hat News for choosing only tickled pink in the Dec. 21 issue. Compared to other areas of the world we have so much to be thankful for! Also tickled pink you wished us a Merry Christmas and Merry Christmas right back to all the people that keep the newspaper coming out to us.

Tickled Pink

So thankful for the people that volunteer every week at Parkrun. It’s a free 5k run every Saturday, check it out people!

Tickled Pink

That the News ran an all Tickled Pink edition. Way to lead by example, folks! Hopefully it is like “gratitude practice.” Once one starts looking the more good people will see, and report.

Tickled Pink

It happened again. Went to blood lab the other day. As usual, great service – in and out in no time.

Tickled Pink

The Veiner Centre, its staff and the volunteers are often unsung heroes. Countless items were gathered by the Veiner Centre staff from the very generous people of Medicine Hat to give to needy seniors of Medicine Hat in Christmas gift bags. Many (most) of these are for the seniors who use Meals on Wheels. Because so many of the MOW users are shut-ins, this is incredibly meaningful. Thank you to everyone!

Tickled Pink

At your decision to run nice stories. I love the column. Merry Christmas.

Tickled Pink

With the transition to the alternatives of all-electric, plug-in hybrid and hydrogen-powered vehicles by 2035. Reduction in carbon dioxide emissions from transportation is absolutely essential to limit the future impacts of climate change.

Tickled… mostly

Many residents of Park Meadows Estate have donated their time and effort to create the beautiful night show in the park. It is wonderful to see so many people enjoying walking through the display. However, I believe some citizens need to follow rules; no dogs allowed, children running off path (danger with wires), throwing trash on the ground. Please enjoy the display and have a Merry Christmas.

Tickled Pink

I am so pleased the Rotary Club has put so much effort into saving the Monarch Theatre. They have done a great service to this community. You should all pat yourself on the back. Bravo!

Tickled Pink

I am so happy that Pierre Poilievre and Donald Trump are not the leaders in Canada and the U.S. It is wonderful that we have leaders who care about the average citizen in these countries. Please print this submission. My wife says I should not contribute if I have no positive things to say. I am counting on the editors.

Tickled Pink

That the federal government sent the CPP and OAS cheques out a few days earlier so seniors could have these funds available for Christmas.

Tickled Pink

Many thanks to several groups who ensured all citizens would have a Christmas Dinner. May you have health, happiness and prosperity in 2024.

Tickled Pink

Big thank-you for the heartwarming surprise – a bottle of wine left on our Ross Glen Green doorstep with a note: “Random Act of Christmas Kindness-Aleva.”

Tickled Pink

If the city would look at black-bin pickup once every two weeks, or smaller bins. This would make recycling and composting a higher priority to households. Many cities have much smaller bins or have one bag limit per week.

Ticked Off

Why are there so many cars with one or more burned-out lights? Don’t you ever check your lights, or do you just get in and drive? A burned-out signal light is particularly bad. Please check all your lights.

Ticked Off

A former prime minister started to ruin Canada, and now his son is trying to finish it.

Ticked Off

So, people who supply MAID want it expanded to those who have mental illness immediately, and psychiatrists don’t want it expanded at all. No personal interests here at all.

Ticked Off

On Boxing Day, driving through the Hamptons near the construction site where the man-made pond is, I saw a woman with a child in a carriage watching two very young children playing on the ice, and wondered what she was thinking, as the ice could not have been a few inches thick.
