I am absolutely tickled rose-coloured about the excellent care and customer service from the sweet staff at Medicine Hat Toyota. They went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me with my car when I was injured last week. It has restored my faith in humanity in an oftentimes self-serving world. Happy Holiday Season!! Rose-coloured girl.

Ran into a friend of mine. His family is changing things for Christmas. While all the young ones will get their gifts, for the adults, they are taking all the money they would spend on gifts for themselves, pooling it and donating it to the women’s shelter. What a great idea!

That the Rotary Club has been sharing such joy with our seniors this Christmas season!

Huge shout-out to all the amazing businesses, farmers and private homeowners who have decorated their tractors, storefronts and homes along Highway 3 from Medicine Hat to Lethbridge. It is so beautiful to see all the amazing creative displays and festive fun lights, sharing the joy of the season. Thank you!

Thank you to those who took a tag and bought a present for the tree at London Drugs for seniors in care. It is great that there are so many kind citizens out there in Medicine Hat who are so generous and want to spread the Christmas cheer to those in care! The seniors were very appreciative and enjoyed opening their gifts. Many could not believe that someone would do that for them. Lots of smiles and thankfulness. Take a bow, Medicine Hat, you did good!

I commend the Salvation Army for their steadfast support in our community. They aren’t in your face continually asking for money. Their long-standing Kettle Campaign is recognizable to mostly anyone. Thank you.

Each year just before Christmas we at the News try to keep the spirit of the season by only running Tickled Pinks for one issue. Sadly, after two weeks of collecting for this issue, we totalled out at eight positive submissions. There is no doubt the world is coming at us with one rough-news story after another, but we at the News do hope everyone finds some time over the next week or two to smile, share some laughs with friends and family and, most importantly, enjoy a few moments to take a breath.
