Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Oct. 31, 2023

Ticked Off

Need bylaw for excess parking of trailers and equipment in front yards.

Ticked Off

Telephone town hall just a farce. They are just trying to make people believe what they’re trying to sell them.

Tickled Pink

That the NHL will allow players to use hockey tape to show support for important causes. Why was this ever an issue?

Ticked Off

I work in Alberta but live in B.C. With all this APP talk, I am seriously concerned about how this will impact me if Alberta is stupid enough to pull out of CPP.

Ticked Off

They spent several millions of dollars on the old arena not long before it was closed. It is hard to believe this facility cannot be used. I don’t believe there are any structural issues with the building. How about repurposing it for curling at least in the short term?

Ticked Off

At backbencher-forever MP Motz’s recent comments concerning the military deserving better. Of course they do, but he should look what his party did when in power for the military, pretty close to nothing. Every political party out of power beats the drum in favour of the military hoping for votes, but when in power have a serious case of forgetfulness.

Ticked Off

Cute how Notley thinks she is right about everything all the time, but history shows that she is almost always wrong on every issue.

Tickled Pink

With the City of Medicine Hat reporting of Collin Gallant. He knows the “machine” of local municipal politics inside out, and taxpayers are lucky to have someone so knowledgeable and experienced doing that “beat.” Congrats, Collin!

Ticked Off

I’m sure you’ve all seen this clown driving beat-up truck weighted down with Canadian flags, what kinda hillbilly does this? Go to Ottawa and see how popular your are.

Tickled Pink

We finally have a premier with the courage to stand up to the Feds on the CPP and transfer payments. Alberta has paid disproportionately more on both over the years than any other province. Quebec has their own pension plan and was able to opt out of transfer payments for their Hydro. Thank you, Danielle!

Ticked Off

That people are just knee-jerk reacting to the Alberta Pension Plan proposal just because the NDP and the Feds immediately mock it. That should be a sign right there it is worth looking into. Don’t reject till you understand the facts for yourself.

Ticked Off

It baffles my mind how anyone could possibly think an independent Alberta Pension Plan could be any more mismanaged than a federal one? Give your heads a shake. The sooner and farther away Alberta can pull itself from the rest of Canada, the better off we’ll be. They can go down with the Liberal/NDP coalition.

Tickled Pink

I’m not excited about Alberta’s proposal to exit the CPP but if sticks it to Trudeau and Eastern Canada, I’m for it.

Ticked Off

Imagine the Alberta UCP response if Ontario or B.C. wanted out of CPP, and each wanted over 50% of its value? Both have more residents than Alberta, and I’m sure each could find someone to provide a report that said they were owed the bulk of CPP.

Tickled Pink

That I’m able to donate to local charities that help in our community. I don’t give cash because it’s not where I want to help but I donate toys and non-perishables to community charities.

Ticked Off

Danielle Smith promised during the general election that she would not touch the CPP. She did that so she could get elected. Now she is spreading misinformation trying to convince people to get rid of the CPP. Don’t touch my CPP!

Tickled Pink

With hospital staff at 5E and 2N. Everyone from doctors, nurses, care aides, cleaning, laundry and kitchen staff. All so very pleasant and helpful. Made the stay much easier. Thank you, everyone.

Ticked Off

I would be if the premier took my 44 years of employment CPP contributions as an RN. She has no right to do that. Also, it would influence the safety-net pension payments for thousands of people who have contributed as well. Alberta looks like a whiny baby again. It is embarrassing and shameful. Just remember that Quebec was never in the national CPP when it created its own pension plan.

Tickled Pink

Great to see local footballer Elic Ayomanor lighting up the NCAA this season. Shout-out to coach Freeman and all the other local coaches who worked with Elic when he was growing up in the Hat. Champions are found in every neighborhood.

Tickled Pink

Our premier is remarkable. She continues to advocate for common sense while constantly being under attack by the biased media and a ridiculous, name calling opposition. Most others would buckle under the pressure. Amazing.

Ticked Off

At our so-called PM. He removes the carbon tax from dirty burning oil in Atlantic Canada but leaves us in the west to pay this outrageous tax on heating our homes. We struggle with heating bills as well, Mr. PM.

Ticked Off

What does Premier Danielle Smith not understand about the repeated words “No Alberta Pension Plan”? In the meantime, she continues wasting millions on an ad campaign and referendum.
