Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, June 22

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on June 22, 2023.

Tickled Pink

Driving up Dunmore Road hill I watch a black sports car going way above the speed limit to reach a red light at the top. You wanted to get to the red light faster than those driving the speed limit?

Ticked Off

Amused by the TO post saying it is time the north side of the city gets something instead of everything in the south side. How about a $75 million event centre, the Family Leisure Centre, plus an expansion, then 20 pickleball courts, BMX track, Hockey Hounds Rec Centre, Heights swimming pool. And for comparison purposes, south of the highway, with roughly the same population as north of the river, has ZERO city facilities. Yup the north is sure hard done by.

Tickled Pink

For three decades I was a patient of a local, compassionate, 70-year-old doctor that deserves acknowledgement! He delayed retirement until he could establish alternate MD care for his many elderly patients, that otherwise may have been left without a doctor! Thanks for your sacrifice Doc, and for finding replacement MDs!

Tickled Pink

Where are the red Salvation Army donation bins? I’d be happy to donate to them if I could find any bins.

Tickled Pink

Pedestrians have the right of way at all intersections, not just at crosswalks

Ticked Off

Now that the courts have refused an unvaxxed lady an organ transplant, even though she already had COVID, I guess no one wants my unvaxxed organs and I can take myself off the donor list.

Tickled Pink

Tickled pink by a certain local oil change company’s participation yet again in another charity event. Seems they are often involved in raising money for different causes. Good job.

Ticked Off

That the city does not shut down the light at the top of the hill going east from the Trans-Canada bridge. Too much noise and accidents.

Ticked Off

Anyone that wants to be objective knows that as oil and gas goes so goes Alberta. If oil prices are down our economy is going to be down as we will see layoffs. It doesn’t matter who the premier of Alberta is as they have no say over oil prices. When the NDP was in power oil prices were low and yes people in the oil sector were laid off, but that had nothing to do with the NDP. Now oil prices have improved while the UCP were in power and again had nothing to do with the UCP. At least when the NDP were in power you could go to the lab any day of the week.

Ticked Off

Big sale at grocery store. Potato chips one cent off for the first four bags. Yes, you read that right one cent off!

Tickled Pink

Tickled pink with the house that won residence of the week on Dunmore. Frankly they could win every week as their yard is always pristine.

Ticked Off

The privatized blood collection system, that’s being paid for by taxpayer dollars and being forced down our throats. The service is so bad, it would go out of business, if it weren’t for the fact the government has closed all other avenues, for blood collection.

Ticked Off

Slap a sign on a neglected area and call it naturalized. The Trans-Canada Highway was a beautiful entrance to our city, now it’s an embarrassment of weeds and dead trees. Can’t we do better?

Tickled Pink

That building a second access into Saamis Heights is easy and inexpensive despite what an uniformed critic says.

Ticked Off

I would hate it if we had music piped out to the street on every block downtown. If you want music, use earbuds. Leave the rest of us alone.
