Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, June 8

Ticked Off

Don’t you people who blast your vehicle motors realize that you are broadcasting your immaturity?

Tickled Pink

Tickled pink if the weathermen could forecast accurate weather. What ever happened? Many years ago, you could count on the forecast to be correct. Nowadays, apart from the temperature, it is never correct. Days and days of forecasting rain and they are always wrong! Someone needs to explain why they cannot get it right anymore.

Ticked Off

Disappointed in people publicly shaming local businesses for supporting the LGBTQIA+ community by providing awareness and education. This is especially sad during Pride Month. Do better. Love is Love.

Tickled Pink

More than Tickled Pink with Brian Conrad’s Our Town TV segments. We all love to see the pictures of the history of Medicine Hat and the in-depth information that Brian gives us is so very much appreciated. He has done an awesome job! Thank you so very much, Brian!

Ticked Off

That our weather people cannot absolutely ever get the correct weather forecast. Really! There is no rain coming!

Tickled Pink

Huge thank you to the lovely lady who went out of her way to beautify the patio at River Ridge with planters of gorgeous flowers for our mom and others to enjoy with their families. What a difference you have made from last year; with your love and care for the outdoors it will be beautiful all summer for everyone to enjoy. I was fortunate enough to enjoy while I was there from B.C. earlier in the week; I wish I could have met you to give you a big hug.

Ticked Off

I too had a headache May 30 morning when I discovered UCP in power again. The Take Back Alberta faction claim to have their members in half the UCP party management positions so this could be a four-year headache.

Ticked Off

City should not allow private vending at the moose rec Center. Probably the best paying machine they own, takes your money and dispenses no product. Not impressed.

Tickled Pink

Impressive that Veiner Centre has teamed up with Palliser Prime Care providing those 50-plus with mental health supports! Thank you for being an advocate for the greater good of those in need.

Ticked Off

Would you sooner be overrun by mice and other vermin than have a few feral cats in your neighbourhood? Leave the cats alone! If you think there are no mice around, leave your garage door open or a pail of water sitting on your property. I encourage every stray cat I see and would never harm them.

Ticked Off

Feel for the next generation that thinks they are entitled and everything is free. Note: everything has a cost. No matter how much governments want to tell you otherwise.

Ticked Off

That people still don’t text or call before they come over, whether it’s just to drop by or drop something off. I won’t answer the door so stop it.

Ticked Off

The absolutely dreadful Road conditions on 16th Avenue SW. Great for 4×4 vehicles, not so great for owners of newer, lower-ground clearance vehicles. Rural gravel roads are better maintained. Cost just under $400 for a replacement alloy rim last week.

Ticked Off

You see a person’s true colours when you are no longer beneficial to their lives. I found that out when someone no longer needed help, and I was not the only one catering to them either.

Tickled Pink

Tickled pink to watch the four-year rodeo ride. There will be ups and downs, hard right turns, an occasional reversal and a soft left or two. There will be lots of bull crap, clowns and Yahoos. Before the end, the loose fitting buckle will need to be tightened and the Smithbelt will be tattered and replaced.

Ticked Off

To the dummy in a black truck that nearly hit a person on their bike while trying to cross the 20th Street N.E. Sunday afternoon. What you did was illegal, U-turns are not permitted where you did them. I hope you get caught doing it next time. Some people should not be driving. You’re lucky no one had their phone on.

Ticked Off

That it takes a Swift Current-based company to donate funds to save the Medicine Hat BeYouth here in town. Where are all the companies here that are supposedly doing so well?

Ticked Off

To say Tin Can Alley is better than having a parking lot is ridiculous! Presently it is an unused eyesore. May as well open up the tin cans during the winter and let the homeless shelter in them. At least they would be used! That was a total waste of money that could have been more well spent on other city projects, for our children for example.

Tickled Pink

I love this time of year. Nothing quite like a little stroll down a weed infested berm. Looking’ good Medicine Hat!

Ticked Off

It’s about time Medicine Hat does something with all the loud mufflers like other cites have done. It’s ridiculous!

Tickled Pink

Tickled pink to know that Canada emits just 1.5% of the world’s greenhouse gases annually, and that this number is trending down. Good news. However, Canada has only 0.5% of the world’s population; we are still contributing more than our share.

Ticked Off

Ticked off that whenever we have a storm floating around our city my arthritis goes into overdrive until the storm passes.

Tickled Pink

Good to see Willie has local supporters regardless of the Tigers’ recent record. Believe!

Ticked Off

City really needs to look at the back entrance to the BMX track and Big Marble Go Centre. It needs a turning lane in both directions. I have been nearly rear-ended multiple times there, even though I turn my signal light on just after the Tim Hortons. Even a sign identifying the entrance, surely signage would not be costly for the city and easier for out of towners to locate it.

Ticked Off

That people are so disrespectful when it comes to local businesses planting beautiful flowers. This is an expense to the business. Vandalism is a crime and pulling or destroying someone’s property even if it is flowers is vandalism. Get your you-know-what together and be a respectable human lining in a beautiful city already.

Ticked Off

To the person who comment they liked Tin Can Alley, please give your head a shake. What we really needed taxpayer money spent on was a new parking lot (that did not need an app for parking).

Ticked Off

It would be nice if those doing repair work on roadways would have signage up alerting drivers prior to whammy! There one lane is not usable!

Tickled Pink

Quit your griping about Tin Can Alley. Put your money where your mouth is, do something constructive!

Ticked Off

Shame on all Hatters who never voted, there is no excuse! It’s our God-given right.

Tickled Pink

Would be nice if the city offered incentives to low-maintenance yards, ridding water consumption and limit unsightly properties.
