Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, March 28

Ticked Off

Like paper bills? Paper bills need to be recycled properly to avoid your name and address floating around, shredded. The envelope with window needs to be broken apart and disposed of properly as the window is not recyclable. There is a staff who needs to run the program to print them, and they need to operate the machine to stuff and seal the envelopes. Not to mention the cost of the paper, envelope and the stamp plus upkeep of the machine. All this adds to the increased cost.

Tickled Pink

Happy the federal government House of Commons environment and sustainable development committee is investigating the tailings pond oilsands spill near Fort McMurray but not surprised that the premier thinks the investigation is a “distraction.”

Ticked Off

The opening of Zellers was confusing. There was no indication of where Zellers stopped and The Bay started. After wandering a bit it could be figured out. There should have been a clear indication. There were a lot of confused looking faces that day. Something hanging from the ceiling, toppers on isle ends, or some other thing to designate Zellers store clearly.

Ticked Off

It is disappointing that Poilievre chose to use a thin blue line image in his social media post. The symbol has been adopted by white supremacists. What exactly does he mean by this? Does he just have bad judgement or does he just crave attention, good or bad?

Ticked Off

When people complain about airplane noise from the airport. That airport has been around since WWII and is an important economic driver for our region. Looking at a street map will not show the traffic patterns of flight training aircraft, and those circuit patterns that have been established for decades.

Tickled Pink

Tickled to see Hatters’ special activities at home and in the community for World Water Day, including conserving water at home, and cleaning up neighbourhood riparian areas beside the river, creek and ponds.

Tickled Pink

That all not bad here. Mistakenly watched West Coast news … perhaps another pipeline would give an alternative and something to do.

Tickled Pink

Tickled pink with all the great volunteer coaches we’ve come across over the years. Ticked off with the one or two who are clearly there to promote their own kids.

Ticked Off

This province badly needs rent controls. It’s time to take care of the needy and not the greedy. Insurance rates also need scrutiny.

Ticked Off

Why does it take over a month to get government mail like a T4? We pay high postage we should have better mail.

Ticked Off

That dog owners can be outside with their dogs and let them bark continuously while watching them run around and bark. If you want to purposely annoy your neighbours I can honestly tell you we are more than annoyed at your arrogance.

Ticked Off

Why does the city not remove dead standing trees that are not bird or wildlife habitat?

Tickled Pink

Electronic bills. Can look at them anytime, simply log on with an username and password 24/7. Can see bill history quickly. Do not need to rely on mail delivery. Do not need to shred to recycle them or deconstruct the envelope to recycle. Do not need to file them. The information is already stored electronically. If you do not have email that is different.
