Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Feb. 2

Ticked Off

The Arena has been a hot topic for years and prior to the existence of Co-op Place people complained about the location. The Y on event days had little parking. The parking at the area was hard to obtain and people would park their vehicle long before events and go for a beverage or meal to get prime parking spots. The streets around on events had zero parking available for those that lived in the neighbourhood. There were issues where the area was (or did everyone forget). I think the biggest issue where the Co-op Place was built was it wasn’t on the south side.

Ticked Off

Co-op Place is just fine where it is located and Big Marble Go Centre, too! As a parent when my child plays sports I have to drive a multitude of locations so they can play games, I don’t expect that they will be playing in just one location that is closest to home. It is time people stop complaining and move on.

Ticked Off

A recent Ipsos poll revealed that 22% of Canadians say they are “completely out of money” and over 50% say they’re “struggling to stay afloat.” The country is in financial difficulty and the federal government continues grossly overspending the budget and increasing taxation on vulnerable Canadians to pay the soaring debt servicing fees. Mr. Trudeau, join the real world; cut the carbon tax; and unlock Canada’s natural resources in support of our struggling allies while enriching the country’s coffers.

Ticked Off

Just toured the ATB Center in Lethbridge. Was at a hockey tournament. Medicine Hat should hang its head in shame!

Ticked Off

Why don’t the people yelling about global warming go after professional sports teams? They fly around the continent and then bus through cities daily! All of them have their own private jets, wasting precious fuel the rest of us could use! Worse than our members of parliament who at least have to fly commercial with their numerous free flights!

Ticked Off

There is no longer any advantage to having city-owned utilities, now we pay the same as everyone else. They should take down the signs that say “The Gas City” because it’s not true anymore.

Ticked Off

Ticked off Europeans tell us to switch to electric vehicles when they have no idea how big this country is! European Union fits into Canada two times with 28 countries! Sweden fits into Alberta 1.5 times! So driving eight hours there is no problem, but here doesn’t get you from Medicine Hat to Grande Prairie! Keep your 300-mile range vehicles over there, and let me drive across our great country in less than a month!

Ticked Off

That the pot holes on some of the roads are terrible, Third Street SW and by the bridge going over Seven Persons Creek just to mention a few. Can we get them looked after before my car or someone else’s gets wrecked?

Ticked Off

That people who see people using self-checkouts think we’re stealing jobs. Well that’s not what’s going on. I have stood in long lineups to pay for my groceries only to wait for the checker person to quit gabbing about her sorrows and woes. I am a happy self checker.

Ticked Off

At the voice for a bumper sticker campaign for the truck convoy. That should really keep the highways peaceful. Think before you start anymore reason to stir up anger.

Ticked Off

Self-checkouts are not awesome! I am not lazy, self-entitled, or just plain dimwitted. By using employee checkouts, I am saving someone’s job. You are dimwitted, because you are taking jobs away from people. The stores do not give you a discount for using their self-checks, you dimwit.
