Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Jan. 12

Tickled Pink

So stoked to see the city trying to support lower income individuals through access to community pools and other subsidies. Keeping our pools open is an amazing service instead of building new. Cheers to preserving our institutions that serve the community.

Ticked Off

So now, moms or dads don’t have to push the stroller anymore because they can look at their phones and the stroller will drive itself! Are we really that addicted to these devices that it takes away from bonding with our kids? Sad. Really sad!

Tickled Pink

I pushed my brother down the stairs when we were kids. Think I’ll write a book and get rich.

Ticked Off

Standing in line at a checkout it came to me, companies have made it hard to not use auto checkout. Think about gas stations that used to not have choices. They came out and filled your tank and you paid and change was given. Now you fill and swipe, simple, right? No one but you worked, but did you save money and did anyone’s son or daughter have a first job to buy a car or go to school? As companies report record profits, it is because everyone works for free to make it so.

Tickled Pink

Notley should have a slam dunk. Those of you who think not obviously have no interest in our health care in Alberta! Wake up!

Ticked Off

Two weeks and still snow- and ice-covered trails through city parks. Someone needs their job reviewed if they can’t or won’t do it.

Tickled Pink

I’d be tickled pink with single-digit inflation. Many of my inputs as a farmer have doubled in the last few years. Greed?

Ticked Off

Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out the $10 per day childcare was ridiculous! Think of the childcare workers will ya. Political buying of votes

Ticked Off

I’m ticked that the Community Education department at MHC no longer has courses in personal, family and community development. It has become of another business school. It used to offer courses in arts, languages, food, health and nutrition, sewing and textiles, household maintenance, community health and safety, to name a few. It used to be a ‘community college’ where personal, household and community well being could be enhanced.

Tickled Pink

I’m tickled pink with people who clear the snow and ice from their sidewalks.

Ticked Off

Why does the UCP disagree with our federal government over everything? The latest is restricting vehicle access to Moraine Lake.

Tickled Pink

That there are several responsible drone operators in the city that know and follow the rules, especially since the entire city is within the airport’s airspace.

Ticked Off

The audacity of some people who think it’s their right to just sit in a place of business that is trying to close after what is a long day for the persons running the facility. These people have a job to do and if you’re asked to leave, don’t argue. Just go, sit in your vehicle and wait for the traffic to subside. Walk a mile in someone else’s shoes before you spout off about things you know nothing about.

Ticked Off

Do the city officials now finally see that bitcoin mining in north Medicine Hat was nothing but a silly waste of grid power? And to see the sweetheart deal that was given towards ultra low electrical rates.

Tickled Pink

That so far the city hasn’t given serious thought to a bridge between Strathcona and Police Point Park. The cost and environmental impacts would be huge!
