Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Dec. 22

Ticked Off

Ticked off reading in the paper two articles right beside each other. One talking about homelessness and the other about Canada spending $1 million on the Royal visit. Perhaps we should have a referendum to decide if Canadians want to be part of the monarchy. I personally would rather see that money go to homelessness and other social issues. What does the monarchy do for Canada anyway except cost us millions?

Ticked Off

I’ve heard several times the latest edition of Medicine Hat city council referred to as “progressive.” Shouldn’t that term equate to progress? If so, where is the progress? What’s been achieved other than a right turn lane at the bottom of Dunmore Hill?

Tickled Pink

Rossco’s generosity for those struggling donating 250 turkey dinners, awe inspiring!

Ticked Off

It was a smoker whining about discrimination that started it. Equating smoking and alcoholism is faulty reasoning. Both can result in harm to others but I can’t breathe in someone else’s alcohol like breathing second-hand smoke. And no one was applauding or accepting alcoholism!

Tickled Pink

Yard Smart is doing a fantastic job keeping up with the snow at our residence. Thank you!

Ticked Off

Climate change isn’t up for debate? Dear editor, please enlighten myself about the heat and drought we had in the 30s, or the “second ice age” that was guaranteed and trumpeted in all the legacy media headlines in the late 70s.

Ticked Off

At the person who stole my shovels off the back of my truck!

Tickled Pink

By our premier’s efforts to just get us treated like Quebec, has been very successful at. Makes me a proud Albertan again.

Ticked Off

The reason we whine at you smokers is because when you smoke we all smoke.

Tickled Pink

I am tickled pink at the music selection at the Tigers games. It really gets a person into a great mood. It should be louder. Go Tigers! Also, great job to the DJ that gets the fans going! Keep up the energy. You are doing awesome!

Ticked Off

Parkview drive is 50 km/h until you get to 20th Street lights, only then changes to 70.

Ticked Off

City needs a designated moped, motorbike parking at Big Marble. Parking is limited in summer with pickleball, football, swim teams, soccer and baseball happening. When each one of these take up a spot it makes parking limited.
