Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, June 17

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on June 17, 2021.

Ticked Off

Our mayor and another ‘buddy’ using the city hall parkade as a personal garage parking their junkers. Parking is for when you are working there that day then leave. Rent a storage site you two!

Tickled Pink

We have great neighbours, too bad some don’t take the time to be neighbourly.

Ticked Off

Ticked off that a group of 30 to 50 motorcyclists were socializing in the crowded Irvine Hotel patio on a recent Saturday afternoon.

Ticked Off

Here we go again: Jason Kenney’s hypocrisy rears its ugly head with his drinks and dinner folly. Its the old “Do as I say not as I do” syndrome. I wouldn’t be surprised if the attendees were lousy tippers, too.

Ticked Off

Downsize city council, we are not a metropolis! Each mayor and council needs to leave an all expense paid venue that goes for pot.

Ticked Off

I want a choice of providers for utilities, the endless addition to commodities, administrative, recycling bins – I’m tired of being told what I can do at a cost to me! Good old days of garbage cans, right too many injuries … Automated, fewer workers, bigger utilities bill to pay for big trucks, big bins etc. Be honest, be respectful of your citizens’ intelligence.

Ticked Off

I am ticked off at the CP Rail road in Medicine Hat for not taking responsibility for ownership of the gas well that’s leaking methane. Because years ago when we tried to get them to move the railroad out of town they claimed they had a 100-year lease and were not budging. Now they won’t claim ownership of a leaky gas well.

Ticked Off

Ticked off at the program for taking credit for ending homelessness. There are large encampments throughout the city. Also, for those that have been housed it has taken more than one program/person to help with this. The first acknowledgment should be for the people who have overcome being homeless during this time.

Ticked Off

That masks will be replaced with vaccination passports that we will soon have to carry in order to access public/government buildings and to travel throughout Canada and abroad. Guess our elected masters have not read the Canadian Charter of Freedoms and Rights.

Tickled Pink

To see what kind of COVID restrictions they put on us and how they spin it this fall after most people have been vaccinated.

Tickled Pink

If the powers that be would offer to power utility customers a full explanation for recent outage in Ross Glen. Article in the Thursday paper leaves one questioning.

Ticked Off

At government overreach and abuse of power from unelected health officials and out-of-control spending from the drama teacher that is our prime minister.

Ticked Off

The police chief stated last week that there is a 46% increase in noise complaints. His reasoning is that more people are at home. I find that explanation very weak. What does it matter if citizens are home or not? They are dissatisfied justifiably. Could it be that we aren’t enforcing the noise bylaws? Loud mufflers, speeders and residential speed limits of 50 km/h are also ideas to consider.

Ticked Off

I am really hoping I am misunderstanding but did the city just shut in thousands of natural gas wells because of low prices and oversupply and now are signing contracts to buy natural gas from other companies?

Ticked Off

Didn’t ole Ted claim to have ended homelessness years ago? Now he’s in the news again claiming to have ended “chronic” homelessness. In a couple years he’ll probably move the goalposts yet again, though you can’t leave your house without seeing a couple of those who live in the parks.

Ticked Off

Oh my gosh, did Mr. Kenney actually eat a meal without a mask? The horror. Apparently Notley hasn’t eaten during the entire pandemic then. Also she’s been busy hiring drone operators to spy on others I see.

Ticked Off

That with paying taxes, of all types, looking after my property responsibly, I cannot enjoy it. Fifteen feet next has turned into something similar to a public swimming pool.

And at times a fire pit burning questionable fuel. WTF.

Ticked Off

Pressure treated lumber is not meant for burning in a fire pit. It contains arsenic. If you don’t believe me read the tag stapled to the wood when you buy it.

Ticked Off

Do speed limits not apply to City Transit or school buses in the city limits?

If that is true and the Mayor and his buddy are storing their cars in the parkade it should be stopped immediately!! I have given up expecting better from Clugston, so I was not surprised to read this about him, but I certainly do expect better out of the people in charge of policing the parkade. Anyone else would have their vehicle towed and the same should happen to Clugston and his buddy!!
