Ticked Off and Tickled Pink - Feb. 9, 2021

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on February 9, 2021.

Ticked Off

The lights on Dunmore across from new denture building need to get adjusted. If you’re not driving on the main drag you’ll wait forever for the light to change to green!

Tickled Pink

By these people driving around in their SUV by themselves with a mask on. Who are you afraid of? I suspect you are living in fear.

Ticked Off

Maybe buying tanker rail cars to move oil wasn’t so dumb after all. At least they have resale value, unlike the billions-and-counting contribution to a pipeline likely never to be built.

Tickled Pink

To the person complaining about the diesel truck waking them up in the morning. It’s probably mine and you are so welcome for the free alarm clock. Life is too short to be sleeping all morning anyway.

Tickled Pink

I am absolutely delighted with the article by Cash Moore on Big Tech companies setting rules for online discourse. Our freedom of speech, a fundamental right, has been horribly eroded over the past few years.

Ticked Off

I know Hatters are generally terrified of change, but I sincerely hope they look back at the path this city has taken over the past many years, and compare it to where they’d like to see it moving forward after this year’s election.

Tickled Pink

A huge thank-you goes out to Chloe Wilkie for the beautiful letter to the editor published Saturday, Jan. 30. I had tears in my eyes after reading about the first person you honoured. By the time I read about your fourth 2020 honouree I was a basket case. What a beautiful tribute to the real people of Medicine Hat, the ones the rest of us seldom notice. I for one will start to pay more attention from this day on.

Ticked Off

Pretty obvious what our mayor thinks about when so many swimming and skating facilities have closed because the City of Medicine Hat can’t afford to keep them operating, but the city would think about a waterfront park downtown.

Tickled Pink

If the waterfront development and the property kitty corner to city hall were developed in our lifetime!

Ticked Off

I realize a dog is a wonderful pet, but when walking these pets along the many trails we have here, please pick up after them. Our trails and some sidewalks are starting to look like we are out for a walk in a barn yard.

Tickled Pink

With random acts of kindness. Love doing them, love receiving them.

Ticked Off

The impact of losing River Road on traffic flows needs to be presented to the public as part of the proposed waterfront development.

Tickled Pink

At the engagement of so many people about the sale of the power plant. I totally agree it should be a ballot question this October.

Ticked Off

I and a lot of people I know would be very happy to learn how much the taxpayer subsidizes Co-Op Place, the Esplanade, the Veiner Centre and the Family Leisure Centre every year. I know this is a big secret kept from us by city officials. Why? As these subsidizations are being paid for with taxpayers dollars I believe that we should be made aware of the overruns of these enterprises.
