Ticked Off and Tickled Pink: Jan. 14, 2021

Ticked Off

I can’t imagine how ignorant you have to be to demand beauty salons be open. In the first place, they are not a necessity, and it would be the best place to spread COVID because they touch all kinds of people all day.

Ticked Off

FYI: of the 16 ministers across Canada, who disregarded travel restrictions for their own benefit, nine are members of the Progressive Conservative Party and seven of those were from Alberta. I am sick and tired of privileged elected officials behaving as though they are above the rules. It’s dishonest, to say the very least.

Ticked Off

I would like to remind our Mayor, who stated people can no longer count on lifelong careers with the city, that people also can’t count on lifelong careers in office.

Ticked Off

A year ago radicals shut down the entire country by stopping train travel with no interference by police. Now the police are threatening to taser shinny hockey players, ripping people out of their homes in Quebec, and fining, repeatedly, people feeding the homeless. Soon the police will have no one on their side.

Tickled Pink

Thanks MHPS for giving me a chuckle. On Monday, MHPS assisted with escorting two large wide loads through the city. Thought it very funny that the two police vehicles involved (with hidden lights flashing) were unmarked, rather than marked vehicles. Lucky most bad guys are stupid so we can hope they won’t remember what they look like.

Ticked Off

UCP blocked the 3% cost of living increase for AISH recipients. A $30 monthly increase only equals one alcohol drink in Hawaii. Surely the elitists can relate to that.

Ticked Off

Losing the Bargain Shop downtown was very annoying. There are too many dollar stores on the south side of the city and none on the north side. Would someone please consider a dollar store on the north side of the river (old Safeway in Crescent Heights maybe) or a new one in the downtown area?

“Lifelong careers”, I actually voted for our Mayor and after seeing his first 4 years i would gladly pay $200 to get that vote back!
