Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Oct. 22

Ticked Off

I truly cannot understand how people want to forgo lockdown procedures if COVID-19 cases spike again. Do you really care that much about money that you would condemn your fellow Canadians to death? But no one cares because “it’s not me, I won’t get sick”. Have some empathy. Would you sacrifice your own child’s life to balance the federal budget?

Ticked Off

The City is using ageism to deal with seniors, yet again. They are “protecting us from ourselves” by not opening the Veiner Centre as if we are too feeble to look after our own health. We know how to wash our hands and wear masks. We understand the concept of social distancing far better than school children. Vulnerable, due to age does not mean demented or feeble minded. Show us some respect!

Ticked Off

With how USA has influenced Canadians regarding mask wearing. Come on people. It’s such a little thing to do, yet can go a long way in getting COVID under control.

Tickled Pink

I just wanted to say again how wonderful your front page pictures are. I sure miss them when there’s too much news taking their place. Your photographer is amazing!

Ticked Off

There’s no vaccine for COVID-19 yet for one reason and one reason only. Greed. Instead of the world working together to eradicate this virus countries and scientists decide to work alone so they can lay claim to the Nobel prize. Life would be so much better if it wasn’t looked at as a competition.

Ticked Off

I’m ticked off at our government for going ahead with banning single use plastics at a time when businesses are struggling with extra costs because of the pandemic are now being saddled with more extra costs to replace them. I think the governments priority’s are all in the wrong place. It’s almost as if they want businesses to fail.
