Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Oct. 15

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on October 15, 2020.

Tickled Pink

I would be tickled pink if the city would paint a solid yellow line down the middle of all trails in the Hat. By dividing the trail as is done with roads, safety is greatly improved.

Ticked Off

Fed up with out of control dogs charging trail users. All trails should be on leash for all dogs. Three new dog parks paid for by city tax payers should keep dog owners happy.

Tickled Pink

I was upset to read that the taxpayer pays for all the costs of roads in Box Springs. So I contacted the City and found out it was totally the opposite!! The City pays for nothing and receives approximately $3 million in annual property tax while the developer is responsible for 100% of all costs including offsite levies, water, sewer, storm ponds, curbs, sidewalks and all of the pavement. Good move, City, $3M in new tax, lots of jobs, and NO COST to the taxpayer!! And finally new roads all at the DEVELOPER’S EXPENSE!

Ticked Off

If the tragic fire in Saamis Heights has taught this city anything, it is that Saamis Heights needs a few more entrances in case of an emergency. Hopefully the City can fix this mistake.

Ticked Off

Why does our premier continue to put all of our income “eggs” into one basket? It is clear that the energy sector will never reap the benefits it once did. Diversity is a term the UPC party seems blind to; they missed the mark for the 43 years they held power (prior to the one refreshing term of the NDP) and they are completely missing the message again. So, instead of investing in the future, Kenney keeps giving our money to big oil companies in the sad, sad hope they will somehow revive the province’s economy.

Tickled Pink

Just want to say thank-you to the fella walking his dogs and found our son’s wallet next to his car in front of our home and turning it in to us ringing our door bell, setting the wallet on the step and standing near driveway to make sure we got it. You are awesome. Thank you.

Ticked Off

We have a state of the art training lab at our hospital. Ticked off that Medicine Hat can’t afford our own laundry service.

Ticked Off

So much for ‘Serve and Protect’. Apparently our City has at least one officer that has no common sense or the ability to exercise discretion. There was a time when officers would have directed traffic to ensure safety and assist the public, rather than see the removal of a traffic hazard as a revenue opportunity. Police wonder why their public

relations have declined. This officer’s actions were an example of poor decision.

Ticked Off

Some fast food outlets have people handing our food without masks or gloves. They should be shut down.

Tickled Pink

With all the hand sanitizing stations at our food and retail outlets, I believe using them will cut down on the regular seasonal flu and colds this winter.

Ticked Off

Being a witch doesn’t make you a good boss, it just makes you a witch.

Ticked Off

I wish the climate activist and politicians and the mercenary science community that support them would appreciate that all the money and tax in the world will not stop climate change. We might as well be trying to stop the earth from orbiting the sun.

Ticked Off

Twice now, people have protested over a mask bylaw that isn’t even in place in our city yet. What the heck is this world coming to? Protest over something that is actually happening in our city instead of wasting your time.

Tickled Pink

With the recognition of frontline workers. The great job that they do. Let’s not forget the techs, mechanics, who keep the equipment working. Keep up the good work.

Ticked Off

Remember when the UCP lifted caps on insurance rates and told us not to worry because insurance providers wouldn’t raise our rates, but then everyone’s rates nearly doubled for no reason other than they could? Good times.

Tickled Pink

I love fall. The colours are so beautiful right now. Weather permitting, take a walk today. Along the river is particularly nice.

Ticked Off

11,000 jobs cut from AHS. Aren’t we happy we elected the UCP?
