Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Sept. 10

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on September 10, 2020.

Ticked Off

Ticked. We have some inconsiderate neighbours in our nice area. They have loud get togethers, use power tools, weed whip, and lawn mow at night. I think it’s so rude. This area is filled with young families and young children. Our neighbours have woke us up on numerous occasions at all hours of the night. I want to get along with our neighbours, but it’s hard to be friendly when they are so inconsiderate.

Tickled Pink

Tickled pink we have Drew Barnes to speak up for us Albertans. Shame on his critics. Imagine if your union representative handling your grievances starting out by saying “No matter what you do or don’t do for us we will never strike or do anything but whine.” Go Drew.

Ticked Off

I am really disappointed the News would even print a story about a substitute teacher not wanting to go back to work. So what. If he doesn’t want to go back to work that is his choice, not a news story. Why don’t you go talk to all the employees at the big box stores and find out what protocols are in place. They are working and making a contribution to the community.

Tickled Pink

I feel very fortunate to live in a city which has developed such a wonderful trail system. The trails are a great way to access the outdoors. We’ve been able to bicycle from South Ridge to Echo Dale and all around the city. What a great way to pass the summer.

Ticked Off

Those complaining about people merging into 100kph zones. I’d agree with you, but you know there are no 100kph zones in the city, right? The highway is 80kph within city limits. If that’s your assumed speed, you’re the one causing problems.

Ticked Off

Biggest deficit in the history of Alberta under the UCP and what do we have to show for it? Privatized provincial parks? Service after service de-funded? A health minister that Albertan doctors have no confidence in?

Tickled Pink

We have a government who sees oil and gas workers as wealth creators and doctors, nurses, teachers and others are wealth consumers.

Tickled Pink

Seeing the teepee lit up purple for International Overdose Awareness day was such a humbling and beautiful sight. Way to go Medicine Hat for honouring all the families grieving the loss of their loved ones.

Tickled Pink

Thank you to the person who took my box of coffee pods back to customer service after I left it on the bottom of my cart.

Tickled Pink

Now that the Downtown speed limit has dropped to 40kph, I am ignoring Downtown as much as I did when it was 50kph.

Ticked Off

Ticked off at the teachers who say they hope parents have more appreciation of them as to how hard their job is, when parents had to school their kids during the COVID shutdown. Parents didn’t go to university for four years to become a teacher, plus many of them were still working full-time while being forced to educate their children. Hats off to the parents.

Ticked Off

Amusing the City is concerned about the drop in attendance at the Veiner Centre but when attendance at Tigers games dropped significantly after moving to the Canalta Centre we didn’t hear the same concerns, and yes that was long before COVID.

Ticked Off

Ticked off Kenny wants to bring the statue of Sir John A McDonald to Alberta and spend what money on it.

A lot of UPC are for separating away from Canada. Quit wasting Alberta’s money. We are having bad times

as it is.

Ticked Off

With all the gloom and doom around the oil business. In the early 1970’s oil and wheat were similarly priced. Todays oils price is 10 times what it was then. Wheat has only doubled in the same time frame and agriculture is not deemed a disaster.

Ticked Off

Why do store have mandatory masks rules but do not enforce them?

Tickled Pink

Fall is here. It’s a nice change to see the hills browning and the leaves turning yellow. Cooler days are pleasant. I am happy to live in a place with changing seasons.
