Ticked Off and Tickled Pink for Sept. 1

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on September 1, 2020.

Ticked Off

Ticked off that at the same time the City is trying to find a way to get out of taxpayers paying to run the Veiner Centre, which benefits a lot of people, they are voluntarily taking over the roads at the Box Springs Business Park which will only benefit the private developer that owns the BSBP, and leave taxpayers on the hook for the costs. The city is trying to cut expenses so why on earth would they take on the costs that are someone else’s responsibility?

Ticked Off

Kelly Hrudey exaggerates the importance of the NHL play-offs to BLM. It appears that he has spent too much time around “yellow-bellied” Ron MacLean.

Ticked Off

Athletes boycotting their jobs, all because criminals are getting shot. I think I have seen it all now, but probably not.

Ticked Off

Erin O’Toole proposes to get rid of CBC TV – English but maintain CBC TV – French. This is O’Toole’s Canada, same-old, same-old.

Ticked Off

With a certain medical practitioner. Even though an appointment is booked months in advance, one can expect to sit and wait anywhere over three-and-a-half hours for five minutes of his time.

Ticked Off

Ticked off that the gas department carried the electric department for years and now that gas prices are low they want to just get rid of producing gas wells. Get ready for high natural gas prices Medicine Hat.

Ticked Off

Ticked that City Council allows Energy Commission meetings to be closed to the public.

Ticked Off

April 13, 2019, Jason Kenney promised to shut the gas off to BC within an hour of becoming premier. This is the longest hour I’ve ever seen.

Ticked Off

My neighbours seem to think I want their vehicles parked in front of my house for weeks at a time because I only have two cars that are both on my driveway. When my friends come over, they have to park down the street.

Tickled Pink

It has taken less than one election cycle to splinter the ‘United’ conservatives. The Alberta Party appears too centralist and the UCP not extreme enough for the new Wildrose Party, Freedom Conservatives or the Wexit Alberta visionaries. Life was much less confusing with just the Social Credit or Progressive Conservatives as right wing choices.

Ticked Off

Fix the railroad crossing at Box Springs and 23rd Street.

Ticked Off

What a farce our Alberta government has become. Purchasing reusable masks from an American retailer rather than directly from the manufacturers. Perhaps they believe the GAP is a global supplier? What’s next, purchases off EBay or Amazon? Incredible.

Ticked Off

That the outdoor ice rink on Riverside has been dismantled and thrown on the scrap heap along with the swimming pool and school. One more thing which will take children out of the fresh air and put them on the couch in front of a gaming screen – shameful.

Tickled Pink

Tickled Pink that some businesses have imposed mandatory mask wearing in their stores.

Hopefully more local businesses will do the same. There are still too many people out there that “just don’t get it”.
