Ticked Off The Before and After School Program in this city is just in a state of shambles. There appears to be no structure at all, the fees went up last year, and yet we seem to be getting a level of care well below what it was before the hike. They can’t seem to be able to retain staff. I hope, for all of our sakes, that the school board can somehow recall the contract and get us out of this mess! Ticked Off It’s long overdue that the City of Medicine Hat cough up the money to pay for a new sign at the Tourism Centre off the Trans-Canada Highway. Ticked Off That people have the nerve to belittle our fire chief and police chief about spending. Spending is not out of control. I hope you never need either service. If you do you will be happy they have these so-called toys! Ticked Off It would be nice if our two MLAs started doing something for our region instead of comparing the number of Grey Cups with other provinces and nonsense like prayer breakfasts. Tickled Pink The reason you think the Medicine Hat News is a “leftist” paper is because the insane right keeps moving farther and father to the right and asking the left to meet them in the middle, which is no longer the middle. Also, the right is a cult. Tickled Pink Dr. Ruzycki’s guest column is wonderful. I have been in health care for well over 25 years and I have seen the havoc previous cuts have caused. If health care has cuts, we all suffer from those cuts. Everyone deserves best possible health care. So why has the city planning commission approved a local business man’s plan to put up 10 billboards (reading material) on, “a former grain elevator on Allowance Avenue? Ticked Off Rather than celebrate our agricultural and industrial heritage, the city’s municipal planning commission has given the green light to place billboards on the former grain elevator near Allowance Avenue.
