Letter: Did the UCP government learn nothing from the Dynalife debacle?

Dear editor,

What the hell is going on? Re: The UCP AHS dismantling.

Did they and Alberta voters not learn anything from the Dynalife debacle? They let a private company take over our lab testing and it was a fiasco. Wait times for testing and results were completely unworkable.

In response to public outcry, the UCP gave it back to AHS to rescue and now everything is fine again. I know this as I get blood work done every three months.

Now they are talking about turning hospitals over to third-party or private providers.

One of these is a religious organization known as Covenant Health. They do not allow patients access to MAID, abortion, or anything they decide we should be restricted from.

Danielle Smith said recently in Drayton Valley that she wants to introduce “competition and fear” into our health system. Is morale for doctors and nurses not low enough for her?

Do we want even more trouble trying to recruit health-care professionals to Alberta? Is our premier/MLA completely unhinged?

This government must be replaced.
