Letter: People believe things that are happening to them, and by then it’s often too late

By Letter to the Editor on May 5, 2021.

Dear editor,

We are seeing what democracy looks like in Alberta. Pretty cool, isn’t? People protesting the wearing of masks and getting life-saving vaccinations. And of course lockdowns, even some of our local politicians are against lockdowns.

I have decided that I am through with arguing with people. Why talk about science? Why try to explain to them that they are infringing on other people’s freedom by infecting them with the virus if they don’t get the vaccine or wear a mask?

These people are not listening probably because they are anxious and in denial. They will believe in the pandemic when enough of the people they know have it and are dying from it.

People believe things that are happening to them, and by then it is often too late.

When you treat our doctors and nurses the way him and his band of ignorant MLAs are doing they should be all kicked out of the government by Kenney but he isn’t man enough to do it. Look at the mess they have created and how many deaths are they responsible for?

Deliberately dumping more and more work onto the backs of our health care workers is just plain stupid.
