Letter: The world needs more Garys with a ‘G’

Dear editor, An open letter to Gary with a “G.” I am still bewildered but also grateful for what you did on Thursday evening, April 8, at Walmart. I am 88 years old, and never before has anyone ever paid for my purchases. I do not know you, and am still wondering why you chose to do this. When I asked your name you would only give me “Gary with a G.” I told you that I would pay it forward. So, I went to the Bow Island town office and made a monetary donation to the local food bank. I said it was paid by Carol and “Gary with a G.” Someday I may even get the hug you couldn’t give because of COVID rules. The world would be a better place if there were more people like you.
