Letter: New Kinsmen initiative a big success thanks to support from community

Dear editor,

I am writing this letter on behalf of the Kinsmen Club of Medicine Hat to thank Medicine Hat and our surrounding community for their support of our newest project… The “Big Bag of Cash”!

Thanks to overwhelming community support I am happy to report that our inaugural “Big Bag of Cash” project is sold out with two weeks to go. This is very exciting for our club, as we made the difficult decision to move away from having a home lotto project this year after 37 years. It fills the members of the club with great pride to know that this community supports our fundraising projects every year.

The support of our community allows the Kinsmen to continue to support our community’s greatest needs, which are even more important this year during a global pandemic.

We have also already sold 85 per cent of our annual 50/50 tickets. In fact, we only have 1 for $10.00 tickets left, with the winner getting up to $49,000 should this project also sell out.

Well done Medicine Hat!
