Congratulations to school boards

I want to thank and congratulate the local school districts for standing up to Jason Kenny’s government by refusing to lay off educational assistants.

Not every district in Alberta was able to do so of course, so at the time when parents and students need the most help, our UCP government pulls it away.

Special needs kids need assistance at the best of times. And we all know that not every parent is capable of providing extra assistance with home learning.

The Atlantic provinces, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and B.C. all kept educational assistants working during the pandemic. I can’t imagine why Jason Kenney thinks Alberta kids don’t deserve the same benefit as everyone else.
