Promises not kept

By Letter to the Editor on February 29, 2020.

It’s not just public sector workers who are being harmed by Jason Kenney’s government.

Almost all Albertans are.

We learned recently that the UCP is cutting drug coverage for over 46,000 Albertans, AISH benefits for 67,000 Albertans, and income support for 60,000 Albertans.

Almost all Albertans will pay more income tax, parents will pay more for busing, school fees, and tuition. Car insurance is spiking after Jason Kenney removed the cap, and the same thing is happening with power prices. Municipalities will have to look very hard at property tax increases to make up for the cuts to municipal grants. And there are 50,000 fewer full-time jobs in Alberta than there were under the NDP.

This is not what we were promised. We were promised “jobs, pipelines and an economy.” We were promised a balanced budget without cuts to front line services.

Jason Kenney lied to us to win our votes. We can’t let him get away with it.

Here’s an interesting read…
I think most people are not aware of just how corrupt Kenney is.
