Searching for a relative half a world away

I realize that this is a long shot but I am trying to locate a distant relative in Canada.

His name is David Venus and he is/was the son of William (Bill) and Gladys Mabel (nee Randall) Venus who were immigrant prairie farmers in the Medicine Hat area in the 1940s and 1950s. David would be in his late 70s now but he may have family who still live in the area.

I am David’s half-cousin.
