False climate prophecies

By Letter to the Editor on October 18, 2019.

The biggest crisis facing the world is not climate change. It is the murder of millions of babies through abortion.

I agree 100% with Richard Dietrich’s letter (“Adult manipulation and media sensationalism,” Oct. 11). The climate crisis is a manufactured crisis. The end of the world is not imminent.

In 2008, Al Gore said, the entire north “polarized cap” will disappear in five years. This and numerous other false prophecies have not deterred his followers from preparing for doomsday.

In 2015, Justin Trudeau campaigned on “sunny ways” but soon realized fear-mongering was a more effective of manipulating the naive.

1. There are not “millions” of abortions being performed, and the fetal tissue lost is FAR from being anything resembling a baby just yet. Might as well get up in arms over menstruation being a wasted egg.
2. The polar ice caps ARE disappearing, just not the 5 years you claim he predicted. Even Canada’s own glaciers are disappearing at an alarming rate, soon to be gone with a decade or two. Both Greenland and Antartica are in panic modes as their ice is melting at a FAR faster rate than originally predicted, leading to sea level rise, loss of coastal cities, and mass migration. Ask officials in Miami who are already spending billions to combat rising sea levels and constant flooding.
3. Trudeau is hardly a poster boy for climate change preparation, is all talk no action, and most of us have the sense to listen to actual climate scientists instead of backyard conspiracy theorists who have less grasp on the issue than grade school children.

Del Egan, thankfully you don’t get to make the rules. You religious zealots are nothing more then a annoyance to the human population, which needs about 100 million more abortions per year.

If you bothered to look, climate change is real, the cause is more of a debate. Also Del. tone down your rhetoric, nobody likes someone that thinks he’s a know-it-all!

Three weeks ago I flew over Greenland and was shocked at what I saw, very little snow and ice. It looked nothing like it did many years when I saw it at that time. A friend worked in the Arctic last summer and it was the same story. He couldn’t believe the changes he saw from when he had been there before, yet we continue to hear seniors going around stating that Global Warming is a hoax and they obviously don’t give a damn about what it’s doing to us. People ask me why I keep bashing my fellow seniors and the answer is obvious, they are the only ones talking like this. My grandsons certainly understand it.
