Elections Canada deserves ridicule for comments on climate change

By Letter to the Editor on August 29, 2019.

Re: “Environment groups warned saying climate change is real could be seen as partisan,” Aug. 19

Amazing front page article on Elections Canada view that since PPC Leader Maxime Bernier “has expressed doubts” that climate change is real anyone saying climate change is actually real is viewed as partisan. It would follow that if Bernier has doubts that 2+2=4 (which could possibly be true with this guy) then pretty much every Canadian with an IQ in double digits is then a partisan. Being a partisan seems to have serious drawbacks these days.

Kudos to Tim Gray for pointing out this information.

On the other hand is it possible that Elections Canada just has a twisted sense of humour and is laughing their faces off that somebody actually believed such an idiotic warning to be true?

In the interests of good journalism could you possibly release the names of whoever in Elections Canada came up with this “unusual” decision?

It appears to me that a whole bunch of public ridicule is sorely needed about now.
