Inspiring stories of people helping animals appreciated

Re: “Not all ducks survived but credit to local motorist for efforts near college,” June 21

Thanks to the compassionate gentleman mentioned who the family of ducks cross the street near Medicine Hat College recently. Thanks also the merciful souls who perform similar acts of kindness. I love inspiring stories of people trying to free beached whales or otherwise aiding animals in distress. Their hearts are in the right place.

A lump of coal to authorities who forbid wildlife rescue and to people who don’t care. Our way of life is destroying the lives of God’s other creatures around us. We need to realize that we are not alone on this earth and must walk more softly.
