Carbon emissions are not responsible for climate change

By Letter to the Editor on February 27, 2019.

I was glad to see the letter submitted by Lynn Thacker concerning climate change and ice ages.

I too have been thinking about the ice ages that the northern hemisphere has experienced. I would definitely call that climate change and have been wondering what caused them so I googled them and found out there is a slight wobble to the earth as it spins and when it wobbles it exposes one pole or the other to more direct sunlight.

These wobbles occur over thousands of years and the belief is when they favour the south pole, because the southern hemiphere is mostly oceans, they warm like they are doing at the present time, which melts the ice at both poles and creates the conditions needed to cause an ice age. (More evaporation, more rain and snow, cooler summers so the snow doesn’t all melt and builds up till over thousands of years it becomes thousands of feet deap and covers most of North America and Europe).

Now that is climate change and has nothing to do with carbon emissions.

Wake up people and send a clear message to Ottawa and our premier Rachel Notley that we don’t want anything to do with their carbon tax.
