NFU represents viewpoint of only small percentage of farmers

The News has run stories a couple times now about issues facing the agriculture industry. The ones I am referring seem to present themselves as the opinions of all farmers. They are, in fact, written from the viewpoint of the National Farmers Union (NFU).

Your readers should know that the NFU only represents the view of its members. In my opinion they are a small percentage of farmers in western Canada. They are just one of many farm organizations that lobby and advocate certain policies as they pertain to the industry.
