Jewish people still in England

Re: ‘Examining the historical ‘ugliness’ of racial hatred,” Nov. 19

The column included the sentence: “Britain actually expelled the long suffering jewish people from at least England some time ago.”

What? I was in England this past summer, quite sure that one or two of the folk I met were Jewish. Either this article was poorly researched or just poorly written. Which is it?
