Law on Medical Assistance in Dying called stupid, insane

By Letter to the Editor on November 14, 2018.

No government has any business interfering in one’s choice of life or death. If they must be involved, then it is to provide counsel, help and support in an attempt to talk one into staying alive.

But the final decision to live or die is the sole judgement of the patient in question. And please, please do not bring religion in on this discussion. They have no business either. The present law on Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) is just plain stupid! It’s like saying sure you can end your life if after you die you sign these papers. And then to say “My heart goes out to Parker and her family” is just disingenuous. This ia a stupid and insane law and needs changing, along with the present government.

Agreed, but how do you change stupidity, as it comes from those that WE put in office. Maybe we need to have mental evaluations and iq tests for our leaders. I believe that a leaders should have an higher I.Q than everyone else.

we want honor and truthfulness in our leaders, not whinny little twits that WILL manipulate the people at the drop of the hat.
