Area golf courses create beautiful landscape, greenery

As I read lately of the possible loss of the golf course in Redcliff (and of others, in other places), I find myself saddened by these events. Not knowing any of the background of the current situation, I would like to point out a few of the thoughts I have been having.

When one looks from above from an airplane landing in any city, I find the green swaths of park-like areas are fascinating.

I am not a golfer at all; to the contrary, I am truly awful at it.

Thankfully over the years, however, those who have the ‘golf passion’ have gifted us all something truly wonderful.

I shudder to think what else might exist were these lands not stewarded by golf enthusiasts. Would it be ugly factories, dilapidated buildings, or even worse?

Thankfully, we now have beauty. Thank the many golfers. Thank them, too, for the millions of dollars their tournaments raise for important causes.

Hopefully we never lose any of these places, and best wishes to those working hard to keep them. Let’s leave the greenery for our children and grandchildren.
