Finding other energy sources is a must

Re: “The case for repealing Suzuki’s honorary degree,” May 5

Ms. Johnston’s column assumes that her alma mater could not be wrong in its choice of values or that it would have to look at new evidence such as global warming to assess the impact of those values on the larger community.

David Suzuki has used strong language to get our attention on climate change. The immediate comfort and profits of this generation threaten the future of our children and grandchildren on this beautiful and fragile planet. The clock is ticking on our choices.

We must find other sources for our energy.
